Rising 9th Graders

Welcome to the Chattahoochee Band program. We know that the transition to high school can be overwhelming and that there are lots of choices to make and new processes to learn. This page was created to help ease your transition into the band program.

The first thing you should know is that no matter what your skill level is, there is a place for you here. If you want to know what it is like to be part of the Hooch band family, check out this video.

The Chattahoochee Band program includes classes that students take during the school day as well as after school extra-curricular programs such as Marching Band, Color Guard & Winterguard, Indoor Percussion, and Jazz Band.

You can register for any of these after school programs by filling out the Band Registration form. If you plan on being part of the Marching Band & Color Guard you need to plan on attending the 2 week mandatory summer camp that happens in July.

All of the programs, Band Class, Marching Band& Color Guard, Indoor Drum, and Winterguard, have fees associated with them which can be paid for in payments as well as through our various fundraising opportunities.

Be sure to check the calendar for upcoming rehearsal dates, shows, and competitions. On the days of competitions, plan to be busy from morning into the night.

If there is a Spring  band trip  all band/guard students are invited to attend. In 2016 our students went to NYC and marched in the St. Patrick’s Day parade as well as took in a couple of Broadway shows and toured the various sites around the city. Students are not required to be in marching band to march in these types of parades.

Most of the communications from your instructors including Music and other necessary forms can be found at Charms Office.  School code is chattahoocheeband.

Get ready to make lots of new friends and great memories.
